U13's in Cricket League Win (19/5)
Chadlington U13's followed up their recent cup success with another win, this time in their first eight-a-side league match of the season against Hook Norton at home.

Batting first they scored 240. George Chipchase top scored with 20* and received good support from Kai Barnes & James Pearse.

The bowling of Satchin Gujral, Bradley Steffens, Ashley Edwards and Sam Richardson kept the runs down and they also took regular wickets and our first catch of the season was taken by Bradley.

The highlight of the game was William Doar’s final over of the match. With the scores level and four balls to go, he took three wickets which left Hook Norton on 216 - there being a deduction of eight runs for each wicket lost.

Next Sunday the u13's entertain Oxford in the Ron Maudsley cup, start 10.00.

Charlbury Take The Victory (18/5)
Local rivals Charlbury travelled the three miles for a first ever OCA league game against Chadlington. Put into bat on a soft wicket Chadlington lost both openers cheaply and found runs hard to score.

A steady 36 from Mark Lambert and a late flurry of the bat from Stephen Hunt (41*) pushed the score up to 131/8 in their 45 overs.

Charlbury lost early wickets but good batting from Barras (64*) and support from their middle order saw them home in the 44th over to win by three wickets.

At Combe the II's bowled bowled out Combe II's for 89 with Matt Duester returning figures of 12-8-9-5 with good support from Freddie Townsend who took 2/15 in eight overs.

In reply the II's scored 91/4, Jason Chipchase top scoring with 33*.

Still No Cricket Win (12/5)
1st XI entertained Westbbury in a first-ever game between the clubs on a day the rain caused several stoppages and reduced the game to 35 overs.

Chadlington scored 109/8 in their 35 overs with Westbury passing the total losing only two wickets to win by eight wickets.

At Broughton & North Newington the II's posted 134 with Paul Duester Jnr top scoring with 31*. The hosts scored 135/7 to win by three wickets. Despite fielding a weakened side, with limited bowling available, there were good performance for youngsters Freddie Townsend and Orren Bennett who both bowled well.

U13's in Cup success (5/5)
The U13's started their 2013 season with a cup success over MP Sports Academy. Batting first they scored 162/2 in their 30 overs with Leo Lambert, George Chipchase and Kai Barnes all retiring on 31*.

Double loss on opening day of cricket season (4/5)
The OCA Cricket league games got underway this weekend, however both the 1st XI and the II's suffered defeats in their opening games.

Junior Cup Final Win (2/5)

Chadlington deservedly won the Junior Cup when they defeated Stanton Harcourt 3-1 in the final held at North Leigh FC.

Craig Salmon gave them a single goal lead at half-time and shortly after the break Josh Catling doubled the lead direct from a 35 yard free kick.

Stanton reduced the arrears but any chance of them getting further back into the match were over when Stephen Hunt scored from close range.

Chadlington finished the game the stronger and all the players deserve credit for a performance that was first-class.

Further details of the game will appear on the Chadlington FC website, to access click on the link on the side of this page

Minster take the points (27/4)
In a game that Chadlington had to win to keep their hopes of promotion alive one single goal in the first half gave visitors Minster Lovell a deserved 1-0 win.

The win puts Minster Lovell on top of the league table with two games to play and in a strong position to win the league.

The reserves lost 4-2 to Wychwood Foresters, their goals coming from Callum Jefferies and Craig Korszewski in the second half after a goalless first half.

Cup Semi Win (17/4)
Goals from Martin Plumbridge, Stephen Hunt and George Slatter gave the 1st team a deserved victory over Carteron Pumas in the semi-final of the Junior Cup this evening at Carterton FC.

They now play Stanton Harcourt in the final on a date to be notified.

Weekend Football Results (13/4)
A solitary second-half goal from leading goal scorer George Slatter gave Chadlington all three points against league leaders Stanton Harcourt in a game that they had to win to retain any hopes of promotion.

After an even first-half that resulted in no goals Chadlington took the lead in the 55th minute when Slatter shot under the Stanton 'keeper from ten yards.

Although Chadlington continued to create the better chances, particularly with Josh Catling causing the defenders many problems with his trickery and pace, a second goal to ease the home supporters nerves did not come and the scoreline remained 1-0 to the home side at the final whistle.

The win will give them confidence for their Junior Cup Semi-Final game scheduled for Wednesday 17th against Carterton Pumas at Carterton FC's ground k.o. 7.30

The reserves, having lost 5-0 at home to Bourton Rovers on Tuesday evening travelled to Eynsham Sports for their last league away game.

Although they lost 2-0 the scoreline was harsh as they created several chances and missed a penalty down a single goal down when Craig
Korszewki shot wide.

Their next game is on Monday 15th at home to Greystones when they are going for their first double of the season, k.o is at 6.15pm.

This week saw the start of the internal work to install the new boiler and heating system. Next week work on replacing the home and away showers commence. We hope to have the new showers in use for the home game on February 12th.

Daylight comes to the home changing rooms with
